וּדְבַר־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ חָזַ֣ק עַל־יוֹאָ֑ב וַיֵּצֵ֣א יוֹאָ֗ב וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְ֙ בְּכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיָּבֹ֖א יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
Tetapi perintah raja tetap berlaku atas Yoab. Maka Yoab berangkat dan menjelajahi seluruh Israel, lalu kembali ke Yerusalem.

The king's word overrode Yoav and the army officers. Yoav and army officers left the king's presence to count the people of Yisroel.
